Currently, I am senior research associate at the Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research at the school of pharmacy. Prior to joining Temple in 2016, I worked for 17 years as a research scientist at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals where I conceived, designed, and planned efficient organic syntheses that led to the development of orally active progesterone receptor antagonists (PRA-348 and PRA-920), progesterone receptor antagonist (NSP-808), and the development of orally active Cav2.2 inhibitors for neuropathic pain.
My role as senior research associate at the Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research is the design and synthesis of novel small molecules for the GLT-1 and liposomal storage disease projects as well as spear heading collaboration efforts for the GLT-1 project. My efforts in spear heading collaborations led to the formation of 4 active and 3 pending collaborations. Notably, one of the collaborations was formed with Dr. Ellen Walker, chair of pharmaceutical sciences.
Also, I am responsible for the trouble shooting and maintenance of the Agilent 1200 series LC/MS.
Finally, over my career, I co-authored 19 patents and publications and two publications are in process.
