Mr. Dennis J. Colussi is currently a staff scietnist in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Temple University School of Pharmacy. HIs current research interests are focused on assay development for the characterization and assessment of chemical libraries and novel compounds. Prior to joining Temple University, Mr. Colussi spent 27 years working in the pharmaceutical drug discovery and preclinical development departments at Merck Research Labs and Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Central Research in targeted discovery of new medicines. He has extensive experience in the isolation, purification and production of proteins, the development and execution of in vitro assays for screening chemical libraries on enzymes and the characterization and assessment of novel drug candidates. Mr. Colussi’s industrial efforts focused on cardiovascular therapeutic, as well as, neuroscience therapeutic for Alzheimer’s disease and sleep disorders.
