George Mateo has been a Research Technician at Temple University since 2006. Although he has served as a technician in various labs, with equally various areas of study, his mainstay has been Peptide Chemistry. Before coming over to the Moulder Center, he served as the senior technician of the Temple University Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis core facility; involved in the design, synthesis, and analysis of final products. Over this time he gained experience in the synthesis of various constructs and an intimate familiarity with the various instruments and systems involved. Currently he works under Dr. Wayne Childers with a similar utility-style capacity. He is not only tasked with peptide synthesis for collaborative projects, but also assists in library synthesis for projects within the Moulder group.
