Postdoctoral Fellow
Job Description:

The Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research at Temple University School of Pharmacy is seeking an outstanding scientist to join an interdisciplinary team dedicated to the identification of novel therapeutic agents as a post-doctoral fellow.

Job Requirements:

The qualified candidate will have a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry. Preferred candidates will have 0-3 years of postdoctoral experience in drug discovery science. A successful candidate will be expected to independently design and synthesize small molecules targeting proteins as potential treatments for unmet medical needs. Critical skills include the ability to design and execute synthetic routes, solve challenging synthetic problems, run analytical and purification instruments, perform and extrapolate SAR analysis, and use modern drug design tools such as computational chemistry, in vitro physical/ADME profiling and in vivo pharmacokinetic data to optimize biological and drug-like properties of a lead series. Good communication and collaboration skills are a must. Familiarity with the Dotmatics software and Tripos molecular modeling programs would be advantageous.
